The aim of this tour is to cover the best birding sites known for the southern half of Argentina, from Buenos Aires to Tierra del Fuego. Leaving no corners out of the journey, this itinerary will certainly give the best chances to find the endemics and specialties of the pampas and patagonia.
At the pampas, special birds include Greater Rhea, Pampas Meadowlark, Hudson's Canastero, Bay-capped Wren-Spinetail and Chaco Pipit, all fond of grassy fields. Wren-like Rushbirds, South-American Painted Snipe and the beautiful Many-coloured Rush-Tyrant are special inhabitants of the reed-beds. The atlantic ocean coast and the Rio de la Plata mudflats are home of Olrog's Gull, Snowy-crowned Tern and several waders.

Once in Patagonia, we'll visit the area of San Antonio Oeste and the Valdes Peninsula, well known as an endemic hotspot. Sandy Gallito, White-throated Cacholote, Rusty-backed Monjita, Carbonated Sierra-Finch and Patagonian Canastero are some of the targets, plus several specialties such as Yellow Cardinal, Black-crowned Monjita and Hudson's Black-Tyrant. Reaching the farther south of south america, in the Sub Antarctic Forest and steppes of Santa Cruz and Tierra del Fuego, we'll look for the extreme specialties of this extreme land: Darwin's Rhea, Magellanic Woodpecker, Hooded Grebe, Austral Rail, Patagonian Tinamou, White-bellied Seedsnipe and many more.
