Central Peru

The Central Peru tour is high Andean birding at its best - Puna Grasslands, Cloud Forests, West slope endemics, flightless Grebe, Oilbirds and Bosque Unchog says it all. Starting on the coast we will gradually ascend the Andes and down the other side. We pay special attention to rare endemic species but do not ignore the commoner Andean birds - scenery is spectacular especially in the Huascaran National Park where we are birding beneath the Andes second highest peak - Huascaran. Some camping at Bosque Unchog is involved but we provide a specialized camp crew and our camp chefs provide 3 course meals. A trip of a lifetime!
